Why ordinary pillows do not work
A hammock is a curve, and everything in it slides toward the low point — including your head, which is exactly where the pillow was. Combine that with the way your body shifts when you lie diagonally and a loose pillow ends up on the ground by two in the morning.
Three things fix it: a pillow that attaches to the hammock, a pillow built into the hammock, or a hammock hung with more sag so the curve holds everything in place.

Common questions
Do you need a pillow in a hammock?
Often not. Lying diagonally in a hammock with proper sag, the fabric supports your head and neck. Many regular hammock sleepers carry no pillow at all. Try it before buying.
Why does my pillow keep falling out of my hammock?
The curve of the hammock slides everything toward the low point, and your movement does the rest. Either use a pillow that attaches to the hammock, or add sag so the sides rise higher and hold things in place.
How much does a hammock pillow weigh?
